About Me!

Hey! I’m Becca and this is my site where I write band recommendations. This whole site was started simply cause I was getting tired of friends asking me what bands they should listen to and what music they should buy. I never imagined people would read it and it had never crossed my mind that this was such a great way to get to talk to so many awesome people! Sure, there are albums that I don’t like, but I find it’s best to just not write about it rather than to write a negative review. There’s no point in wasting readers’ time by talking about how shitty a band is. If you ever have any requests for a write up, want to comment on something, or just want to talk about music in general, hit me up! I love talking to new people (and the old). I bite, but it’s the internet, so what’s the worst that can happen?! ;)

Panic At The Disco- Pretty. Odd

Let's talk about an album that both my dad and I can agree on. Ryan Ross (and the rest of Panic) has the ability to listen to certain music, take it in, and put their own pop-punk/emo twist on it. Take for example, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out. They were inspired by soundtracks to Tim Burton movies. On Pretty. Odd, they are clearly inspired by the Beatles. I am no Beatles fan, but they sure did an amazing job on putting their twist to it. Cause I sense the Beatles influence, but they're still PATD. Even if you didn't like their first album, i highly recommend listening to Pretty. Odd anyway. It's very different and hard to resist! My fav song is track 15, Mad As Rabbits (love Alice In Wonderland btw).

this is a really great album, helped me get thru a break-up quick and easy, and the lyrics are probably my favorite part about it all;)
